Arena Gorda is the northern stretch of Bávaro beach. CHIC's airport time is from a 2024 review; the others are typical drive times.
Royalton CHIC Punta Cana
CHIC is Royalton's adults-only resort in Punta Cana, with about 320 suites in Uvero Alto, north of the main resort strip. It's built for a social, high-energy trip: pool parties several times a week, music and shows at night, and a disco that starts late. The beach is smaller than Arena Gorda's, and seaweed can wash up in summer.
Party atmosphere. Adults only. Be ready to not sleep. But if that's your vibe, then that's the right place.

Royalton Punta Cana
Royalton Punta Cana is the classic beach resort of the group, right on Arena Gorda beach. Its strengths are food and the beach, with a wide choice of restaurants. Couples who want quiet can book Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana, the adults-only resort next door. Guests have reported being able to use the water park at Royalton Splash next door too; confirm that with the resort for your booking.
Good food and a nice beach, with a good variety of dining. The rooms could use a little updating, but all in all a good resort.
Royalton Punta Cana doesn't appear to be sold on Booking.com, so check prices on Marriott's All-Inclusive site.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana
Royalton Splash Punta Cana is the family resort, built around a water park with slides and a wave pool, next to Royalton Punta Cana. It sits back from the beach, so you'll walk over for sand and sea. Water slides have height minimums, so very young children may not ride many of them. Not to be confused with Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun in Mexico.

Royalton Bavaro
Royalton Bavaro is a separate resort a few minutes from Royalton Punta Cana, on the same Arena Gorda stretch. It has no water park, but it does have a long lazy river, a FlowRider surf simulator, an oceanfront infinity pool, a splash pad for small children, and kids and teens clubs (ages 4–12 and 13–17). Is Diamond Club worth it?
All of these resorts sell Diamond Club rooms, Royalton's upgraded tier, with a butler, a private lounge and pool area, and easier dinner reservations. It's most worth it in busy weeks, when the best restaurant times go fast, or if you want an ocean-view room. At CHIC, one review put the extra cost at about $75–90 per person per night, so price it against a standard room for your dates.
